Announcing Nominees for the 2022 EMEA Awards
March 24, 2022 (Toronto, Canada): Women in Payments is pleased to announce our shortlisted nominees for the 2022 EMEA Awards celebrating the achievements of women who are making waves in the global payments system.
Our distinguished EMEA Awards Committee, comprised seasoned professional women across the payments industry reviewed all nominations and shortlisted 20 nominees in six categories. The winners of each category will be announced at the EMEA Symposium, which runs from April 26-27, 2022, in Madrid, Spain.

Advocate for Women
The Women in Payments Award for Advocacy for Women will be awarded to a person in the payments and fintech industry who promotes female leadership and encourages and supports the career development of all women in the workplace, as well as ensuring their work positively impacts women working in EMEA.

Innovation
The Women in Payments Award for Innovation will be awarded to a woman in the industry who has promoted payments innovation through creativity, vision and perseverance in her organization or the payments industry. The nominee has been instrumental in promoting innovations or creative reengineering and is currently employed in EMEA.

Inspiration
The Women in Payments Award for Inspiration will be awarded to a woman, often an unsung hero in the industry. She can create a strong vision and inspire a team towards achieving a goal either in her organization or the industry. She remains focused and navigates the team towards the goal and adjusts priorities as needed.

Rising Star
The Women in Payments Rising Star Award will be awarded to a woman who has up to eight years of working experience in the financial services or fintech industry. The recipient is expected to be working as an individual contributor in EMEA and has demonstrated leadership and professional excellence in the payments industry.

Social Impact
The Women in Payments Social Impact Award will be awarded to a woman in the industry who is a strong leader that advocates for sustainability, social justice, and mental health, personally and professionally. The recipient is consistently seizing opportunities to steer co-workers and the industry to a place of positivity through empathy and mutual support in times of uncertainty and great change.
