WHO ARE WE?

Women in Payments is a global organization of ambitious women from across payments and fintech who are united by a shared vision of achieving gender parity. Founded in 2012, our growing worldwide community is dedicated to leveling the playing field for women at all levels within payments, fintech, and financial services by offering career growth opportunities and fostering a supportive global community.

ARE EVENTS HELD IN-PERSON OR VIRTUALLY?

Women in Payments hosts both in-person and virtual events. Our six global symposia are held in-person across six global regions, including the USA, EMEA, LATAM, Canada, ASEAN and Australia. Additionally, we offer numerous in-person networking opportunities throughout the year as well as virtual networking sessions through our POM (Platform of Member) Cafés.

 

WHAT IS A POM CAFÉ?

POM (Platform of Members) Cafés are interactive virtual networking events hosted by Women in Payments. These events feature leaders from across the payments and fintech industry and are designed to facilitate networking and knowledge sharing. POM Cafés are held weekly and are open for anyone to join. We also offer sessions in Spanish and exclusive editions for members only. Each POM Café lasts one hour and is scheduled at different times to accommodate a global audience. WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A SPEAKER & HOW DO YOU APPLY?

We welcome both women and male allies to apply as speakers. We’re always interested in speakers with diverse perspectives, industry knowledge and subject matter expertise in payments-related topics, including, digital payments, leadership and career development, and payments innovation. A call for speakers is issued months in advance of a symposium through our social media accounts and email communications. You can apply from the Call for Speakers page on our website or contact our event organizers directly. WHAT IS THE WOMEN IN PAYMENTS AWARDS PROGRAM?

The Women in Payments Awards Program celebrates and honours the achievements of women making waves in the payments industry. Our awards recognize women who have distinguished themselves as leaders, innovators, and rising stars. These prestigious awards are presented and celebrated at ceremonies held during each of our global symposia.

 

WHO CAN NOMINATE SOMEONE FOR AN AWARD & WHAT IS THE NOMINATION PROCESS?

Anyone is eligible to nominate deserving individuals for Women in Payments awards. Women in Payments issues a call for nominations months in advance of each symposium through our social media accounts and email communications. Visit our Award Nominations page on our website for more details on award categories, to view open calls for nominations, or to nominate outstanding leaders, innovators, and rising stars. Once nominations are submitted, they are carefully reviewed by the regional awards committee and winners are announced at an awards ceremony during the Women in Payments symposium.

 

IS WOMEN IN PAYMENTS ACTIVE ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

WHAT IS THE WOMEN IN PAYMENTS CANCELLATION, REFUND AND TRANSFER POLICY?
  • All cancellations, refund, and transfer requests must be made in writing via email to info@womeninpayments.org
  • Refunds will be allowed as follows: Registrations canceled at minimum 30 days prior to the event date are eligible for a 50% refund and No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 30 days before the event.
  • Refunds will be issued via your original payment method.
  • Symposium registration fees will not be refunded for weather or travel-related delays or cancellations. 
  • Leaving the symposium early, for any reason whatsoever, will not result in a refund, and no refunds will be made for any unused portions of the event. Likewise, refunds will not be granted for no-shows.
  • Registrations may not be split or shared between attendees. Each registration is valid for one individual for the duration of the event and cannot be used by multiple attendees.
  • Transfers: If you wish to transfer your registration to another person at any time, you may do so for a $100 administration fee (in the currency in which you registered).
  • While every effort is made to ensure delegates can attend all sessions, certain sessions may prove too popular for the room capacity. In these exceptional circumstances, entry will be on a strictly first-come, first-served basis.
  • We reserve the right to change the format, speakers, participants, content, timing, date, venue location and programme or any other aspect of the conference at any time and for any reason, whether or not due to a Force Majeure Event, in each case without liability. Where we alter the time or location of the conference, we will provide you with reasonable notice and offer you the choice of either a credit for a future event (up to the value of sums paid by you in respect of the conference) or the opportunity to attend the conference as varied.
  • We are not liable for travel, accommodation or other costs and expenses incurred (including wasted costs and expenses) if we are required to cancel or relocate the conference as a result of an event outside our control.
