Sharing her career journey by answering the six questions below.

Who or what has been your biggest source of inspiration throughout your career?

People stepping outside their comfort zone and who are not afraid to venture into challenges motivate me. Those who leave their imprint and lasting impact in any job they undertake are a continued source of inspiration.

Would you say your success is primarily due to luck or hard work?

I would say a mix of hard work and staying committed. In my years of banking, I have learnt that dedication and consistency are key. Luck does play a role here and there, but it’s really been about putting the effort day in and day out. Being able to adapt to different situations and staying resilient in face of different challenges have been crucial. It is about rolling up my sleeves and getting the job done, no matter what.

What is the driving force behind your career aspirations?

Passion is the driving force behind success for any role that I have undertaken whether it is helping clients, making processes more efficient, or driving business growth. I am driven by exceptional client experience, and passion was always the driver to take on new challenges and responsibilities throughout my career.

If given the chance to do one thing differently in your career, what would it be and why?

I would have pursued more cross-border assignments. Engaging in international roles would have broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of international business. Embracing those opportunities would have inspired me to learn more and advance in my career.

What was your most favourite job/role and why?

I believe that winning new customers and clients and giving them a great experience is the driving force for any successful business. My sales roles gave me the opportunity to meet with clients from different cultures and backgrounds, understand their needs, build solid relationships, and provide end-to-end solutions. The feeling of seeing a successful deal and happy client during a hard day at work has always been personally rewarding.

Do you have a favourite motto or quote that guides your professional life?

“The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the little extra” – Jimmy Johnson. It reminds me that going the extra mile in every task can make a significant impact and deliver excellence in my work.
